Google had a keynote event today. If you want to watch it, here's the link (fast forward to 25 mins 36 seconds) - https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=q4y0KOeXViI
I'm not currently in the market for a new phone, but the new Google Pixel phone may be my next phone. One of the biggest things that sparked my interest was that if you have a Google Pixel phone, there is no limit for storage of photos and videos that are backed up on Google photos. As someone whose Google Drive/Photos is filling up from my videos, having unlimited space for videos is VERY appealing.
I will need to watch the keynote event in full, but apparently Google announced a new router too. I hope this means my OnHub router isn't going to become irrelevant! I follow the product lead for the OnHub router on Twitter, and he said Google's new router would work with the OnHub router. This makes me feel a little better, but I'm still worried.
If you want to look at the products yourself, there seems to be a consolidated site for all of the Google products - https://madeby.google.com/
The reason I bring the keynote up is to help make you aware that Google had a keynote. Apple's keynote every year is hyped up and presented as the "premiere event". Google has one too (and I think Microsoft as well). If you're on the fence on a new phone, know that the iPhone and now the Google Pixel, in my opinion, will be good choices.
