Investing Update 1/22/2016

The market seemed to stabilize a little bit this week. There were days of heavy selling, but I saw a bit more green this week than last week. By green, I mean stock prices going up. I think the common mentality of dividend investors is that market swings don't concern us. Concern sets in when a company reduces the amount of money that is paid out for their dividend.

IP was on my list of stocks to buy for my 2016 Investing Mission. It has an upcoming ex-dividend date around February 11th. I think I read recently that the stock was downgraded, but I still bought the stock. I'm interested in this stock due to their sustainability efforts. When I was working as an engineer, my company worked with IP, so I have some working knowledge of the company.
