Above is a video about the OnHub router from Google. I am leaning towards getting this router soon. Like a lot of products, Google gave other businesses PLENTY of time to get things right and make things work. My experience with routers has been a pain in the butt, and Google probably knows the average household user also has problems with routers. The average consumer doesn't know how to download and install firmware updates. The average consumer doesn't know the default address to access a router is 192.168.0.1. Products and services are so poorly designed in my opinion, that Google has to come in and revamp products with an easy to use interface.
There are a few things that I like about this router.
- It's by Google
- You can control the router with an app
- It tells you who is all on the network
I watched an unboxing/setup video of it on YouTube, and it seemed very straightforward. If I get the OnHub, I may do a setup video myself.
