H20

I've been keeping up with my health Mission so far this week. This Mission is that the only liquid I can drink after 5 PM is water. Also, between 5 PM and when I go to sleep, I need to drink at least 1000 mL of water. I'm doing this for a few reasons -
  1. I was feeling dehydrated at the end of the day, and I was worried I didn't drink enough water during the day. This also means I probably wasn't hydrated enough while sleeping.
  2. To ease my way back into a normal sleep schedule. I want to make sure caffeine is out of my system when I try to go to sleep.
  3. Dental issues - I'm trying to minimize future dental problems/costs. 
  4. Cost - Water is free. Everything else isn't.
This hasn't been too tough of a Mission for me so far this week. When there are times that I want to drink something that isn't water, I make myself drink out of my water bottle. I've felt better going to sleep knowing that I'm hydrated. I had one night in early April where I woke up with my heart pounding super hard because I was dehydrated. I was traveling that day, and I didn't drink any actual water, just coffee and pop. I also did a lot of walking around, combined with eating salty food. I don't want to wake up with my heart pounding like this again, and hopefully only drinking water after 5 PM will keep this from happening again. The only downside has been unwelcome trips to the bathroom in the middle of the night, but I'll take that over being dehydrated.
