Mitch Mission Update W.E. 10/31/2015

Happy November!

I gave myself 5 missions this past Sunday to complete over the week. A green Mission means it was completed, a yellow Mission means it was semi/mostly completed, and a red Mission means it was not completed.

30% of my Missions were completed this past week.

Minimalism -  Finish the Marie Kondo book. This is a book that I need to read cover to cover and take notes on. This will also help me unpack my apartment.

  • I did not finish the book. I'm really like the book so far, and am already implementing some of things I've learned from the book. I also am taking notes on pages I want to refer back to.

Investing - Use the $'s from selling General Mills, John Deere, and Verizon to buy more stocks this week. These stock/s that I buy should be paying a dividend soon.

  • I completed this mission, and should have an upcoming week filled with selling stocks. You can read about this specific Mission Update here - Better Investing Update

Technology - Analyze phone bill for upcoming $20/increase due to unlimited data line. Look at options for shared data package.

  • I started looking at the Verizon account, but I didn't get very far.

Conservation - In honor of No Shave November, analyze the decrease in water and shaving supplies I'll use.

  • I didn't do a full analysis, but I did talk about the positive environmental impact that NOT shaving has.

Health - Walk for at least 30 minutes four days this week.

  • I did plenty of walking,  just not a dedicated 30 minutes straight on four days.

New Missions for W.E. 11/7/2015

I will be posting a new page for my blog. This page will have Missions I want to complete by the end of the year. All of my weekly Missions should be stepping stones to complete these larger Missions.

Minimalism -  Take one "box" of clothes to Goodwill/Salvation Army/equivalent donation store. I put box in quotes because a box isn't holding me to a certain quantity, just that I should donate something.

Investing - Sell all of the stocks that recently had or will have ex-dividend dates this week.

Technology - Analyze phone bill for upcoming $20/increase due to unlimited data line. Look at options for shared data package. This is a continuation from last week.

Conservation - Order reusable produce bags.

Health - Don't drink any pop (unless I need a caffeine boost while driving). I will give myself an allowance of one pop if I'm at an event or get-together, and I forget I'm not drinking pop and have an "Oh crap" moment.

Signed,

Mitch
